He continued that infrastructure, including roads, is crucial because it involves various matters that are crucial for the community.
"Roads involve the mobility of goods and people. If the road infrastructure is damaged, logistics costs are high and products cannot compete," he said.
He reiterated that the government's performance did not only rely on viral incidents on social media.
"So this is indeed the government's job, so it will be done as well as possible," he added.
Previously, it was known that President Jokowi had made a visit to Lampung Province in order to ascertain the condition of infrastructure which was reported to have suffered heavy damage in various regions.
The visit started from Pasar Natar, South Lampung Regency, the national road around the Sumatra Institute of Technology (Itera), the road to the Kota Baru area. City of Gajah-Seputih Road Section Raman-Rumbia Junction.
He said that in providing services to the community, including regarding infrastructure, the government did not do it because it would go viral on social media.
"So it's not a matter of whether it's viral or not viral on social media. It's indeed the job of the central, provincial, district and city governments to provide services including preparing good roads for the community," he said.
